Objective

Hotel Rosalie lies in the 13th arrondissement of Paris near Place d’Italie. The 4-star hotel offers high-end services, yet it champions respect for the environment. Seasonal products, water saving showers, and LED bulbs all earn it “Mission Company” status and the Green Key label. For architect Marion Mailaender, the interior designer responsible for a complete 60-room renovation, selecting Polygood® was incremental to linking Rosalie’s urban heritage to its commitment to sustainability.

Approach

The hotel’s team of designers prioritised the recovery of existing furniture and equipment, along with the use of responsible materials. Mailaender’s team chose Polygood® for 60 bathroom sinks and 60 service trays, featuring the elegant Timeless Duo pattern.

Sober and purely elegant, Timeless Duo fits perfectly with the modern ambiance of bathrooms and breathes maximum sophistication into the vanity tops. Its minimalist, white finish speckled with black is a must-have in the most modern hotel bathrooms. Its smooth surface is particularly soft and pleasant.

Made to measure by the fabrictor, the panels were worked into vanity tops with a central cut-out for installing the sink. This allowed a precise adjustment to adapt to the existing configuration of each bathroom. Easily shaped, Polygood® Timeless Duo panels with their impeccable one-piece appearance give the impression of being made in one piece.

Ideal for withstanding a steamy bathroom, the panels are water- and mould-proof, antibacterial, and resistant to stains or limescale residue. The rigid, polystyrene structure and light colour minimises impacts and scratches and was easily installed without support materials such as wooden frames.

Impact

In total, 20 sheets of Polygood® were used for this project. That’s the equivalent of one tonne of recycled plastic, originally refrigerator panels, consumer electronics, and spools in its first life. Fun fact: the hotel’s bedroom floors were covered with carpet made from recycled fishing nets, sourced from a different company.
