Canary Islands Bathroom

Name:
Canary Islands Bathroom
Collaboration:
Bargo Studio
Country:
Spain

Objective

Bargo Studio of Las Palmas worked with our Spanish distribution partner Revolución Limo to create a sunny, morning vibe throughout this modern studio in the Canary Islands using Polygood®.

Approach

Choosing the White Lollipop Polygood® pattern from The Light Collection made for a fresh and modern bathroom commode and matching designer writing desk. Both have crisp, straight edges, and thermoforming easily created the pull-out drawer’s curved grip.

Used for bathroom sinks, flooring, and panels in wet areas prone to humidity, Polygood® is a waterproof and mouldproof material for years of pristine use. It’s also a stylish choice to recover and reuse existing materials for bathroom and hospitality renovations, instead of consuming virgin resources.

Impact

Revolución Limo and The Good Plastic Company have been joining forces for years to manufacture and distribute recycled plastic panels across Spain.

Made from 100% recycled polystyrene, the planet-friendly pattern’s white base gives new purpose to old refrigerators that have met their useful lifespan. The pops of colour throughout are from recycled single-use plastic cutlery.

This innovative and sustainable alternative for the interior design world ensures respect for the environment and the reduction of its carbon footprint — creating spaces that marries design with creative upcycling.
