OLO Table

Objective
Presented at Shelter in New York City, the OLO Table is a sculptural furniture piece designed by Joe Doucet in collaboration with The Good Plastic Company. The goal: demonstrate the expressive and structural potential of recycled plastic in high-end, statement design.
Approach
Made from Polygood® in the Oyster pattern from the Growth collection, OLO features a seamless monolithic top and two sweeping, curved legs formed using advanced thermoforming techniques. Precision CNC joinery was used to assemble the piece without adhesives, showcasing a refined method of construction rarely applied to recycled plastic materials.
Impact
The OLO Table was made using 100 kg (220 lbs) of recycled plastic. The project demonstrates how Polygood® can be applied in sculptural, high-end furniture — combining form, precision, and circularity in a single statement piece.
