ONE DUST Studio, Taipei

For Polygood®’s first project in Taiwan, ONE DUST brought its expertise in surfaces into furniture and sculpture. The Taipei studio works with decorative finishes, mineral coatings and installation art, exploring how materials connect objects, spaces and nature. Polygood offered another way to explore those relationships through colour, pattern and form.

The studio designed and made tables, chairs, benches, shelves and sculptural objects using five Polygood patterns. Each piece is Polygood through and through: the panels provide both the finished surface and the structure, without a separate supporting frame. The collection moves between speckled terrazzo effects and translucent colour, showing how differently the same material can take shape.
For a studio accustomed to working closely with materials, Polygood’s versatility opens up room for experimentation. Made from recycled plastic, the panels can be cut, shaped and finished into furniture and architectural elements.

Indoors, the pieces sit against ONE DUST’s mineral finishes, their patterned surfaces set alongside the earthy textures of walls and floors. Outside, the relationship with the surroundings becomes more direct. A translucent blue panel rises among dark rocks in a gravel garden, with dense greenery beyond. Foliage remains visible through its surface, bringing the landscape into the work itself.
