Orion, Paris

For the kitchenette in Orion’s Paris office, designed by Aura, Samji Studio made the worktop in Polygood® Emerald Ghost. Founded in Paris in 2021, Samji designs and builds with recycled plastic, bringing new applications to life and showing that the material can be more than an accent in an interior.

Emerald Ghost is a flecked sea green a shade lighter than the cabinets, so the island and counters read as one block of colour. Its flecks give the monochrome depth, pick up the speckled stools and hint at the recycled plastic underneath, and Samji cut the island top to follow its rounded end.

The kitchenette is where the team meets through the day, which makes the worktop the surface people see and use most.
