Objective

Sepiia is a clothing brand named after the Spanish word for cuttlefish — a versatile creature, just like their flagship textile. Made with 100% recycled materials, it does not wrinkle, repels stains, and is elastic — in the spirit of changing how we consume water-intensive, disposable, fast fashion.

When Sepiia opened its second physical store in Spain, it wished to design the entire store with sustainable materials.

Enter The Good Plastic Company: born with the same spirit, using 100% recycled plastic to make Polygood® — a sustainable material working to actively change the architecture and design industry.

Approach

With reuse and recycling in mind, designers PPT Interiorismo used as many elements as possible left inside the existing location and proposed a conscious design that spoke of the values behind this B Corporation fashion brand.

Sepiia’s new store screams electric blue for technology, the future, and the positive — and our blue Sapphire Terrazzo pattern for retail displays of various heights was a perfect fit.

A padded central island in a range of blues was inspired by the deep lines of the ocean — a place we want one day free of plastic waste.

Impact

This store used 316 kg of recycled plastic. For retail, sustainable design not only improves the aesthetics and functionality of spaces, but also reinforces the message of environmental responsibility that brands want to convey.

Our Polygood material is ideal for the retail sector: visually innovative, circular, and the panels are fully recyclable at the end of the project’s lifespan. It’s a great option for brands to convey their commitment to sustainability to their customers.
